Therapist Lana Alencar picture

Hello! My name is Lana Alencar. I have completed my graduate studies at Providence University and Seminary with a Masters in Counselling. I am currently registered with the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Canada.

I have had the privilege of helping clients of diverse backgrounds with varying issues including: self-worth, trauma, sexuality, spirituality, addictions, depression, anxiety, boundary setting, relational stress, and immigration and cultural issues.

My therapeutical practice incorporates a diverse set of theories including cognitive behaviour therapy, solution focused, narrative, and emotion focused therapy.

I work with children, adolescent and couples, but I thrive helping women reconnect with their identities. This includes helping them through different phases in life, family relationships, marriage and parenting issues, professional and personal conflicts etc.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love travelling, learning more about other cultures, and coffee.

We all matter, we all belong

Sometimes we feel like we don't belong and as if we don't matter. In moments like this, it is wise to stop, reflect, connect to our true selves and then move on.
