Hello, and welcome. My name is Lana Alencar, and I’m a registered counsellor based in Winkler, Manitoba. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling from Providence University and Seminary, and I’m a member of the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists (PACCP) in Canada.

I have the honour of supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate a variety of life challenges. My work focuses on emotional health, personal growth, family wellness, and relationship dynamics—always with compassion, respect, and a deep belief in each person’s capacity to heal and thrive.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. This integrative style allows me to tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals.

While I work with children, adolescents, and couples, my greatest passion lies in supporting women. I specialize in helping women through issues related to identity, emotional wellness, life transitions, parenting, marriage, and self-worth. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to juggle the demands of everyday life while still trying to stay connected to yourself—and it’s my joy to walk alongside women as they rediscover their voice, strength, and sense of purpose.

Clients often come to me when they feel stuck or disconnected—from themselves, their relationships, or their sense of direction. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, cultural transitions, or spiritual questions, I offer a calm, supportive space where you can reflect, grow, and feel heard.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy time with my family, exploring new cultures, and—like many of my clients—finding comfort in a good cup of coffee.

If you’re looking for a place to explore your story, reconnect with your inner self, and take meaningful steps forward, I’d be honoured to support you on that journey.

You matter. You belong.

There are times when we all feel out of place or question our worth. In those moments, it's important to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your true self. You are not alone—your story matters, and you belong here.
